I came across a ridiculous video on tiktok, A man sings a famous English song but he thought if he changes the pronouns in the song mocking many genders that will make him so funny!
I’ve been offended by him, these gender pronouns are so important, because we can see ourselves and be more comfortable in our skins.
Important because Knowledge is everything. before finding words like “PTSD, Sexual harassment..etc.” we were unable to explain what happened to us, what we were really facing.
I can’t understand what would people lose if we ask them to refer to us by our proper pronouns? What’s the problem if we want to be seen? To be ourselves!
Some websites became more respectful when their owners added gender pronouns to their systems.
My values always have been respect all humans, regardless of their gender, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, so I’ll too spend time and effort to be more helpful to them & not a big stumbling block.
By the way, kindly refer to me as “They\Them”.
